Disappointed,

my 9 year old daughter decided to sign with them prior to try outs. I paid for the season and then she was required to go to try outs, which quickly made her realize this wasn’t the club for her. The girls director was already demanding she be at practices and we were still in season with another club.

The morning after try outs she realized that she would rather sit out then play without her friends. I contacted the coach telling him she wants to stay with her friends and asked for a refund.

It’s now been 3 months and I received this email from the director. They’re keeping $1031 for two days of soccer and as of last night are telling us they will not refund any of it. The excuse of he had other keepers and both were at try outs because the coach had told us it was because he didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings, so the excuse their using isn’t valid. Be careful do not sign and pay up front with them. Do a long payment plan so you don’t lose so much money.

La Galaxy San Diego has been a super experience. My daughter loved the camp she attended a couple months ago, everything went so smoothly and she loved her coach and team. She just had her first practice for fall soccer and loved it. She is so excited for the upcoming season. I have been impressed with all the professionals involved. They truly care about the organization and players. It looks like I am officially a "soccer mom"!

LA Galaxy San Diego is a great organization for recreational soccer. Both of my kids have really enjoyed playing soccer for the past several years. Being a parent and a coach, it is wonderful to see the kids out having a great time and also learning and improving their soccer skills each week. We also appreciate that the games start on time, which is important when managing busy schedules for our family.

The coaches at LA Galaxy San Diego are highly qualified and have a passion for teaching kids to play soccer the RIGHT way! We have had a an excellent experience with this club over the past 5 years; our kids have been challenged, engaged, and motivated and they keep improving season after season!

Unfortunately, this program has really gone down hill. The 07 Boys have now lost Coach Phil who really was the lifeblood of the organization for this age group and several others. We had a different coach and our experience this year was nothing short of disappointing, with the coach constantly playing kids out of position which never allowed the boys to really gel as a team. Every tournament we entered, we brought in guest players from other LA Galaxy 07 Boys teams in order to "Do whatever it takes to win" as we were told by our team contact person. This organization is trying too hard to build their own reputation and not focusing on what's really important, the kids and their development. So sad to see this organization taking this path.

The recreation league was really good for kids not wanting to be in competitive at a young age in 2016.
However, in 2017 it is very disappointing compared to the past 6 years. Are 11 year old son is here to still learn the proper rules of soccer. However, Referees have not been making proper calls at all this year (Hand balls, Off-sides, and even getting the final game scores incorrect). When asked why they gave out final score incorrectly we were told, “who cares it does not matter” by are REF!! Have some pride, no wonder USA soccer is a joke to the rest of the world. The league is paid a lot of money by the parents to put on these games.

Very disappointed with this soccer club. We have been with LA Galaxy SD for the past 3 years and this club is about one thing... MONEY. The criteria to play here is two things 1. Are you alive 2. Can you pay the fees?

They create team after team in order to add to the lineup of more and more paying players. Some age groups have 7 or 8 teams.

If you are not on team 1 or 2 you get the lower level coaches, poor field selections, and basically the short end of the stick

Beware
